Agenda for the Meeting of Packington Parish Council to take place on Tuesday 6th December 2022, at 7.00pm at Packington Memorial Hall.

 To all members of Packington Parish Council: Chris Miles (Chairman), Robert Martin (Vice-Chairman), Clare Beynon, Jacqueline Bridgen, Keith Goodwin, Russell Powell.

 This meeting can be recorded and photographs taken, this is allowed to ensure openness and fairness.  The Parish Council would appreciate knowing if anyone attending wishes to record or photograph.

AGENDA

 

Questions from members of the public (15 minutes, maximum of 3 minutes per person).

  1. To receive apologies for absence and to note acceptance by the Council
  2. To note Declarations of Interest both Personal and Prejudicial on items within the agenda
  3. To approve and sign the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 1st November 2022. App 1
  4. Situation Updates – to receive an update and consider next steps
    • Flooding – to receive an update
    • Highways issues – various issues raised with LCC and NWLDC – to receive an update.
    • Warm Spaces – to receive an update on correspondence with local groups and NWLDC.
    • Traffic Issues – to receive an update on correspondence with LCC regarding speeding in the village. To note correspondence with other parishes about their experience with traffic calming measures.
  5. Questions to and reports from County and District Councillors
  6. To receive a police report.
  7. Financial matters:
    • To approve the financial payments as listed on the attached schedule.
    • To review and approve the bank reconciliation. App 4
    • To receive an update on the process to move the council’s bank account from HSBC to Unity Trust Bank.
    • To review the draft budget and consider any additional items for the 2023/24 budget which will be finalised in January.
    • To note the play area inspection report from NWLDC and consider the replacement of the cradle swing seats.
  1. Planning
    To discuss/note planning applications, planning permissions, planning consultations and listed building consent from NWLDC including the following and any applications received after publication of this agenda:

    • 22/01762/FUL Breach Farm Leicester Road New Packington – Part conversion of an agricultural building to residential, with part retained as agricultural and part demolished.
    • 22/01667/FUL Burnbank Hall Lane Packington – Erection of a single-storey rear extension and changes to landscaping to form a new terrace.
  1. To receive an update on developments at Whitegates Stables, Coleorton Lane.
  1. Correspondence, to note correspondence received.
  1. Solar Funds – to consider an application from Packington Rainbows group.
  1. Clerks Report – to note the information and updates contained in the clerk’s report.
