We have ,very recently, had two offences committed involving the ATM at Nat West Bank in Ashby.
Offenders have placed a template over the card reader which prevents the card from being ejected during the transaction.
The offenders later remove the template and withdraw the card which is then used to withdraw money or use for other purchases.
Please check the facia of any cash point that you use to confirm that it has not been tampered with prior to using it.
Also watch out for so called “shoulder surfers” that may be in close proximity to you when using ATM’s.
These people try and see your pin number for future unlawful transactions.
