Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic
Regulation Order at the above location.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for
Severn Trent Water to facilitate installation of new pipeline.
A road closure is required on Measham Road from northern entrance to Treatment
works adjacent to Farm Cottage for approximately 500m heading south west on the
7th September 2026 for two weeks.
Please note that due to the works involved there will be no through route to any traffic
including emergency services, pedestrians, equestrians and non-motorised vehicles.
The proposed alternative diversion route will be via Normanton Road, Packington;
Ashby Road, Heather Lane, Normanton le Heath; Normanton Lane, Main Street,
Swepstone Road, Heather; Swepstone Road, Main Street, Swepstone; Swepstone
Road, Gallows Lane, Ashby Road, Measham; and vice versa.
