Packington Parish Council Meeting 3rd December 2024 Agenda

To all members of Packington Parish Council: Chris Miles, Robert Martin, Keith Goodwin, Russell Powell, Paul Fleetham, and Bryan Smith.

Councillors are hereby summoned to attend a Meeting of Packington Parish Council to take place on Tuesday 3rd December at 7.00pm, at Packington Memorial Hall.

 This meeting can be recorded and photographs taken; this is allowed to ensure openness and fairness.  The Parish Council would appreciate knowing if anyone attending wishes to record or photograph.

AGENDA

  1. Questions From Members of the Public (15 minutes, 3 minutes per person maximum)

Please note that any questions raised will be looked into and, if necessary, answered at a later date. If a council decision is required, the query will need to be placed on a future agenda.

  1. To Receive Apologies for Absence and To Note Acceptance by the Council

  2. To Note Councillors Declarations of Interest

Councillors to declare any interest they have, both personal and prejudicial for any items on the               agenda.

  1. To Approve and Sign the Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting Held on 12th November 2024
  2. County and District Councillors Reports
    Councillors to provide an update and the Parish Councils opportunity to ask questions.
  1. To receive a Police report
    Local Police provide the Parish Council with a monthly record of crime in the area.
  1. Situation Updates:
    1. Flooding – to receive an update.
    2. CCTV – To receive an update.
    3. Traffic Calming – to receive an update.
    4. Community Safety and Neighbourhood Watch – to receive an update.
    5. Street Lamp for footpath to church – to receive an update.
    6. Scams and Cyber Crime Event – to receive an update
  1. Financial matters:
    1. To approve the purchase of Microsoft for the Parish Councils new laptop.
    2. To approve the payments for December and note income received.
    3. To approve and sign Unity Trust bank forms adding Victoria Webster onto the account and changing the Parish Council address to her home address.
    4. To review the draft budget for 2025-2026
    5. To sign bank statements from 01.11.24 – 26.11.24
    6. To review and approve the bank reconciliations up to the 26.11.24
  1. Planning
    To discuss and note planning applications, planning consultations and listed building consent from NWLDC including the following and any applications received after publication of this agenda:

    1. 24/01294/FUL – Land at Drum and Monkey Lane. This application was deferred from the December meeting.
    2. 24/01464/TCA – 6 Normanton Road. Works to fell 1no Magnolia and fell 1no Conifer (Unprotected tree in a conservation area).
    3. To note any planning decisions made:
    4. 24/01227/FUL – Cluny Lodge 3 Heather Lane. Erection of a single-storey front extension and a first-floor balcony to the rear elevation of the main dwellinghouse. Granted.
  1. Parish Council Printing

Councillors to discuss the option of either purchasing a printer or utilising an available printer and purchasing ink towards this.

  1. To consider grant applications: From Packington Memorial Hall for £6716.16 – deferred from the November 2024 meeting.
  1. To note correspondence received:
    1. NWLDC – Autumn Collective Energy Switch
    2. NWLDC – Budget Briefing Date Change – 16th January 2025
    3. Warwickshire CC – Town & Parish Council Reference Group Notes (These can be emailed to a Councillor if they would like to read them as there are a number of attachments).
    4. Member of the public over concerns with bonfire night.
